Know where your words go.

Your personal writing stays on your device. Signing in separates your saved space from other accounts. It does not upload or back up your journal.

Updated October 4, 2026 · This page distinguishes the account-enabled iPhone app from the browser concept.

The account-enabled iPhone app

Senior Health Group LLC, the publisher of CopeWell from AddictionHelp.com, uses Supabase for email-code authentication and account deletion. Resend delivers sign-in emails. These services process your email address, account identifier, authentication requests, and connection information needed to provide and protect sign-in. We do not send your journal, reflection drafts, or saved next-step text to those services.

Saving journal entries and personal records requires verified sign-in. Games and guided exercises are available without an account. Words entered in a guest exercise stay in memory only and are cleared when you leave that activity or close the app. Guest game saves and preferences are separate from account saves. Signing in does not silently attach guest or earlier browser writing to an account.

What is saved locally

The app saves boards, game settings, optional collection progress, favorites, and activity progress on the device. Journal entries, reflections, Pause & Choose drafts, and saved next steps also stay locally. When signed in, writing activities save drafts as you type, until you clear or replace them. Guest exercise words are not saved. A draft and a kept next step are separate records.

In account-enabled builds, local content is stored separately for each verified account. Earlier unassigned saves are moved only after you confirm they belong to you. An account does not synchronize notes between phones, browsers, or website addresses.

What protects my entries?

Verified sign-in controls which account’s local content the app opens. Native sign-in credentials use the iOS Keychain with device-only protection. The app obscures its content in the iOS app switcher. These protections are different from encryption of your journal.

There is no separate journal password, Face ID journal lock, or app-level encryption of entries. Someone using your unlocked, signed-in device may be able to read them. Use a device passcode and a device you trust. Signing out locks that account’s content in the app but does not erase it.

After verified native sign-in, saved access can allow offline use for up to 30 days. Reconnection may require verification again. Device backups may include local content under your operating system’s settings. CopeWell does not control those backups.

Deleting and exporting

You can delete individual saved notes or drafts through their activity controls. Exported files remain wherever you save or share them and are not recalled when you delete a note or account. The journal export includes saved journal notes, not unfinished drafts.

In the account-enabled app, open Account and choose Delete my account. A fresh email code is required. Confirmed deletion removes the sign-in account and that account’s saved app content on the device completing deletion. It cannot reach files you exported, device backups, earlier browser previews, guest saves, or local copies on another device. Do not create a replacement account expecting it to restore deleted or inaccessible notes.

If deletion cannot be confirmed, the app keeps your local content and offers a retry or support. Account deletion is not a promise of immediate removal from provider operational logs or backups. Provider security records and backups follow the services’ configured retention practices. Contact us for a specific access or deletion request.

The public browser concept

The concept at this website has no connected sign-in. Its notes and drafts are stored in that browser without account isolation or a separate lock. Someone who can open that browser profile may read them. Use fictional content when reviewing the concept.

Clearing this website’s browser data can remove its notes, drafts, preferences, and cached app files. Private browsing or storage restrictions may prevent saving. We do not have a server copy to restore. Browser saves do not transfer to the native app automatically.

Hosting, tracking, and feedback

The app does not use advertising trackers or upload your writing for AI analysis. The website host may process IP addresses and request logs and set security or bot-protection cookies. External research and support sites have their own privacy practices.

The website stores its motion preference locally. A previously loaded browser app caches files for offline use. External links and new email codes still need an internet connection.

If you choose to email feedback, we receive your address, message, and attachments through our email provider. The feedback page prepares a draft or a downloadable file and does not submit it automatically. Please send product questions rather than medical history or journal entries. We use feedback to respond and improve the product. Contact us about deleting a message you sent.

Your pause mural

The optional mural stores a pause count, display preferences, and whether an activity session is in progress. A move or a step in an activity followed by Done for now adds one tile. We do not store a mood, diagnosis, or reflection answer in the mural. It stays on this device, separately for guests and each account. It does not sync between devices.
